There are two levels of Diary page & Binding.

Diary Pages are used in Tier 2 Combos to create peices of armor. However, this armor cannot be used...YET.

Rumor has it that sometime in the past, a player succeeded in hacking GM Mug's email and gained access to five of the names and combinations of the Stolen pieces of Armor. The combinations were then changed but the names of the pieces of armor seemed to have remained the same. These names have proven to be correct and can be verified through text responses from Dhaulagiri, who buys them.

Garnet Bindings

Boxed Garnet Fastening

Boxed Garnet Hauberk

Bijou Wrappings

Boxed Bijou Shroud

Boxed Bijou Cincture

People speculate that once all six pieces of armor have been made they will be combined with the Binding to create a usable armor.

...and of course the Diary Pages & Binding themselves can be read. They chronicle the story of a smith (or possibly multiple people) on a quest to create an epic tool of defense while falling prey to some dark influence.
